Stabler and co. are back.

Season 4 of Law & Order: Organized Crime premieres tonight, and EW has an exclusive clip of the season’s first episode.

The sneak peek gives a glimpse of the tension in the Organized Crime Task Force office following the death of Det. Jamie Whelan (Brent Antonello) at the end of last season. The clip opens with Jet (Ainsley Seiger) and Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) arguing while watching a video about policing AI.

“If this even half of what he claims, this man’s gonna revolutionize policing forever,” Jet says of the AI’s creator. “Didn’t know you were such a fangirl,” Reyes responds. “Change can be a good thing,” Jet shoots back.

Suddenly, Stabler (Christopher Meloni) arrives in the office after months working undercover. “You got the report, right?” he blares. “DEA said he was gonna send it to you.”

Sergeant Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) isn’t impressed with his tone. “Welcome back, detective,” she says sarcastically. “I missed you too. Can we take a breath and try that again?” Stabler takes a moment to get his bearings, then asks about his coworkers.

“Jet’s sharp edges are more like razor blades,” Bell tells him. “She’s keeping everything close to the vest. And Reyes is throwing himself into work a little bit too much. Reminds me of you — not in a good way.”

“Jamie left a big hole,” he responds, looking at Whelan’s empty desk. “There’s a lot of healing you need to do yourself. In more ways than one,” Bell tells him.

Season 4 of Law & Order: Organized Crime premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Watch the full sneak peek above.
