Man arrested outside Taylor Swift’s NYC home 3 times in 1 week, being held without bail
Published on December 13, 2025 EDT David Crowe, 33, was remanded into custody after violating a protective order that prohibited him from visiting Swift's home.

A New York City judge has ordered that 33-year-old David Crowe be held without bail after he was arrested outside Taylor Swift’s Manhattan home three times in one week.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office confirmed to EW that Crowe, of Seattle, was arraigned on a second-degree criminal contempt charge in Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday.

During the proceedings, Judge Marisol Martinez Alonso granted the prosecution's request for Crowe to be taken into custody, as well as the defense counsel’s request that he undertake a psychiatric exam to determine if he is fit to stand trial.

Crowe was taken into custody near Swift’s residence on Saturday, Monday, and then for a third time on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department confirmed to EW. The latter incident came just hours after he was arraigned in court on stalking and harassment charges in relation to his earlier arrests and was issued a protective order prohibiting him from visiting Swift's home or having any further communication with the "Shake It Off" singer, per NBC News.

During Thursday's arraignment, prosecutors said that Crowe willfully disobeyed the aforementioned order with his arrest on Wednesday.

Citing court documents, the Associated Press reported that an unnamed security worker claimed to have spotted Crowe near Swift's townhouse roughly 30 times since Nov. 25. The outlet noted that prosecutors also said Crowe was asked about 10 times to leave or stay away from Swift's home.

Legal representatives for Crowe declined to comment on the case to the AP on Thursday. “We have no additional statement,” New York County Defender Services spokesperson Lupe Todd-Medina wrote. “We rely on the statements made in court today.”

Crowe's trial is set to continue on Feb. 7.
