Bad GirlsDrew Barrymore thanks Dermot Mulroney for being 'so good' to her on
Published on December 01, 2025 EDT Mulroney reunited with the 1994 film's stars Mary Stuart Masterson, Andie MacDowell, and Barrymore.

In 1994, Drew Barrymore, Mary Stuart Masterson, Andie MacDowell, and Madeleine Stowe starred as four prostitutes out for vengeance in the Wild West in the long-forgotten film Bad Girls.

But on her titular talk show, when Barrymore reunited Masterson and MacDowell with the perpetually fine Dermot Mulroney, who played their ally Josh McCoy, the tears started pouring.

"You were so good to me, I really was like a lost seventeen-year-old," a weepy Barrymore tells Mulroney, who was also getting choked up. "I was having so much fun, but I didn’t know how to take care of myself and you took such good care of me. You were so kind to me."

Barrymore reassured the audience that "I was really wild, guys" — as if everyone there hadn't read Little Girl Lost — but continued to thank Mulroney for protecting her and watching out for her.

"I’m so happy to see you," Mulroney says. "Sorry guys, I cry now. I knew I was gonna and I came anyway. I decided I’m gonna go ahead and cry in public."

Directed by Jonathan Kaplan (The Accused), Bad Girls was considered a box office flop when it premiered amid negative reviews in 1994. The early-90s were a real grab bag for Barrymore, as she struggled to navigate the transition from child star to adult actor. She followed up Bad Girls with the can't-wait-for-this-reunion Boys on the Side with Whoopi Goldberg, Mary-Louise Parker, and Matthew McConaughey before her now-iconic cameo in 1996's Scream.

The Drew Barrymore Show's Bad Girls reunion airs Jan. 25.
