Hold up ... is Cousin Richie kissing Neil Fak?!

Yes, chef! That wasn't just a fever dream — The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach passionately smooched his costar, real-life chef Matty Matheson, after the FX/Hulu series won Best Comedy during Monday's delayed 75th Annual Emmys. (But does the rest of the dysfunctional Berzatto extended family know about this?!)

"What's good? I just want to thank restaurants as a whole, hospitality as a whole — " Matheson began his speech while accepting the award on behalf of the whole cast and crew before Moss-Bachrach interrupted him. Without any warning, Moss-Bachrach planted quite a big kiss on Matheson's lips while the audience went wild. Both actors laughed afterwards, and Matheson continued his speech (watch video of the hilarious moment below).

"I love you, Ebon," Matheson said as Moss-Bachrach encouraged him to keep going. "I just love restaurants so much. The good, the bad. It's rough — we're all broken inside, and every single day we've got to show up and cook and make people feel good by eating something and sitting at a table, and it's really beautiful. And all of us here get to make a show together, and we get to make people feel good or filled with anxiety or triggered, it seems. This is really amazing, it's beautiful."

Matheson went on to praise everyone who helps bring The Bear to life. "It's hard work, it's early hours," he said. "We don't see the sun for three months. We shoot on a soundstage, it's really cool — I've never been on one before. I've never acted before!"

Then Moss-Bachrach interrupted Matheson again to make sure they thanked FX and Disney, so Matheson shouted, "FX is tight! The Mouse!" And as the "play-off mama" signaled it was time to wrap up, Matheson shouted, "Let's go! Yo, restaurants forever!"

Speaking to journalists backstage immediately after their win, Matheson and Moss-Bachrach laughed about the kiss. "It was nice!" Matheson said.

"I mean, it was a blur," Moss-Bachrach added after agreeing with Matheson. "I had my eyes closed. I think Matty had his eyes closed too. Time stopped. I don’t know how many years went by."

The cast also joked about how the show was nominated in the comedy categories at the Emmys, with Matheson saying it's "not really" a comedy.

"I think it's funny and stressful," showrunner Joanna Calo said.

"The things that did so well between Sucession and Beef and our show, I think these ideas about comedy and drama are a little outdated," Moss-Bachrach said. "We get bunched into comedy because we’re half hour, but we’re all trying to reflect the mess of being human, which is deeply hilarious and we’re all suffering."

The Bear cooked up a lot of wins during Monday's ceremony. Moss-Bachrach won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Jeremy Allen White won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Ayo Edebiri won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and showrunner Christopher Storer won twice with Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Plus, Storer's The Bear-inspired Coca Cola ad debuted during the telecast.

The 75th Emmys were held on Monday, Jan. 15, at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles. Although the ceremony aired in 2024, it was actually the 2023 Emmys since the awards show was postponed for months due to the writers' and actors' strikes.
