Jurassic World 4Jeff Goldblum welcomes Scarlett Johansson to

Jeff Goldblum has officially welcomed Scarlett Johansson into the Jurassic World family.

On Monday, the Jurassic Park alum surprised Johansson during her interview on Today with a video message congratulating her on getting cast in the upcoming fourth installment of Jurassic World.

"Dr. Johansson, this is Jeff Goldblum," he said in the recorded message. "Here’s what I want to say to you. This I know: Scarlett will find a way. Don’t get eaten, unless you want to." Goldblum then blew Johansson a kiss and signed off with, "I love you."

Goldblum played Dr. Ian Malcolm in the first Jurassic Park movie in 1993 and has since returned for three additional movies in the Jurassic World franchise. Johansson was excited to hear Goldblum recite his infamous catchphrase in honor of her. "Oh my gosh, I can’t believe Jeff actually said that to me," she said after the message played. "I mean, I think my life is complete now. I can retire now."

Johansson, who can currently be seen in the comedy Fly Me to the Moon with Channing Tatum, recently joined the Jurassic World franchise for the untitled fourth movie written by David Koepp, who previously penned Jurassic Park as well as its 1997 sequel, The Lost World. The film, which is directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Creator), is separate from the previous Jurassic World trilogy starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. The new movie will also star Bridgerton's Jonathan Bailey in an undisclosed role.

"The first Jurassic Park, it's one of the first movies I remember seeing in the theater," Johansson said. "I was probably like 10 or 11, and it was absolutely transformative for me. We had never seen anything like that, CGI used in that way, and when you see it, it still holds up. It looks so great."

The actress recently revealed in another interview that she spent a literal decade pitching herself to the franchise in a variety of wacky roles — and she didn't care if her character survived hungry dinosaurs.

"I’ve been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years," she said. "I’m like, 'I'll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I'll do the craft service!' I'll do anything for it. The fact that it's happened in this way, at this time, just is actually unbelievable. I can't believe it."
