Warning: This article contains spoilers from Wednesday night's episode of The Masked Singer.

This week's Group B finals of The Masked Singer brought the rock 'n' roll vibes from start to finish.

Rock royalty Kelly Osbourne (season 2's Ladybug) and Poison frontman Bret Michaels (season 3's Banana) were on hand to deliver clues and kick off the Battle Royale, respectively. It was a double elimination night, and unfortunately, Husky was sent back to the pack.

Sadly, the regal hound was the first to be eliminated, and two of the panelists ended up correctly guessing his identity. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg stuck with her earlier guess of Brian McKnight and Ken Jeong opted for Romeo Miller. But Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke weren't convinced, and correctly guessed that the Husky was Grammy-nominated R&B singer Ginuwine.

Ahead, EW catches up with him to talk about the staying power of his iconic hit song, "Pony," being part of the Magic Mike universe, and why he was determined not to be a diva on the show.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: I'm just going to start off by saying, I have two huskies, so needless to say I was obsessed with this costume.

GINUWINE: Well, I'm glad that's the one that they picked. I had an Alaskan Husky when I was a kid also, so it fit me perfectly. Alpha male go-getter. Once I decide to do something, I do it. So it was a great costume, great fit.

So has the show called you in the past and it didn't work out, or was this the first time they called and you said yes?

Well, frankly, I said, no, I didn't really care to do it. I'm pretty much a loner and I'm pretty private and stay to myself, but this was something that was out of the norm and it was a chance for me to come out of my comfort zone. So after me and my agent started talking, going back and forth, I just decided to go ahead and do it.

What would you have wanted to sing had you gone to the finale?

Well, I don't know exactly how that goes. I know the songs were given to me. I didn't choose none of those songs, and rightfully so, because I felt like if I did have the opportunity to do what I wanted to do, that kind of takes away from the show because then they definitely would know who I was right off the bat. Initially I was a little aggravated. I did want to do certain songs, but then I said, oh, I kind of get it now. That's why they choose those songs for you. So it was a good thing. That's like me saying, "Okay, I want to do 'Pony.'" Of course not. I can't do that. But I think they chose some great songs, and once I got into it, my whole point was to try to not sound like myself. So it's a fun show.

Speaking of "Pony," you got to perform that at the end there. I've always wondered if they let artists pick that final song you get to do after being eliminated.

Yeah, again, I wasn't going to be one of those artists that's just being a diva or whatever. I mean, I decided to be on the show and I just was going to go with whatever they gave me, but I pretty much knew it was going to be "Pony" if I got voted off. I knew that's the one that they would want me to do. And of course, that's the obvious one to do at the end because it's so hype and because it's so known everywhere.

That song first came out in 1996. Has its staying power surprised you?

When I did it, I knew it was a special song. That's no doubt about that, but I didn't know how long it would last. Of course, you always hope for the best. You always hope to break records and do exactly what it did, but I'm just happy that I'm part of a song that's going to be here far after I'm gone.

The song of course has been used throughout the Magic Mike franchise. Has that brought in a whole other generation and group of "Pony" fans?

Yes, definitely. Magic Mike definitely keeps me out there, keeps me relevant, keeps the young crowd, the newer, younger crowd knowing who you are and all that. So yes, that's definitely a blessing for me and I hope they keep using it. [Laughs.]

What's next for you? Can we expect new music any time soon?

Well, me, I'm constantly on the road and that's my comfort zone. So pretty much, I don't know if I'm going to do any new music any time soon. Right now I'm doing tours and all that kind of stuff and being a grandfather and a dad and all that good stuff. So I'm pretty content on where I am right now, but if I get the itch, I'll probably do something new. But there's nothing in the works. I'm just on the road.

What did your time on The Masked Singer mean to you?

My time on The Masked Singer meant to me personally that I can overcome any obstacles as long as I put my mind to it. And don't let the journey of it all discourage me. Just if you signed on to do it, do it, and do your best and see it all the way through. So that's what I'll take from it.
