The Challenge star CT Tamburello teases 'bruises and blood' in Jake Gyllenhaal's
Published on January 15, 2026 EDT The reality TV veteran posted a photo from the set revealing his participation in a bar fight scene.

CT Tamburello is ready to smash another head (and eat it) in a bar fight. But don't worry — this time it's all scripted.

The Challenge champion shared a photo on Instagram from the set of Doug Liman's Road House remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal, revealing his appearance in one of the film's massive fight sequences alongside UFC star Conor McGregor.

"Last night of the bar fight scene," Tamburello wrote in the caption Thursday. "This is the whole fight crew. Lots of bruises and blood shed here. Thanks to @thenotoriousmma for jumping in the picture with all of us. This is a proper bar fight sequence the stuff cinema and stunts are known for." He then teased his cameo by adding, "You might recognize someone on the far right."

A rep for Road House confirmed that Tamburello worked on the movie and noted that he's listed in the credits under "Stunt Utility."

In the Instagram photo, Tamburello is standing on the far right wearing a denim vest over a T-shirt, jeans, and combat boots, and rocking a longer hairstyle reminiscent of his earlier Challenge seasons. But that's not the only thing that feels familiar.

Longtime Challenge fans remember CT for his Boston bruiser era, when he was kicked off MTV's reality TV competition series multiple times for getting in fistfights with castmates. In one particularly gruesome fight in the season premiere of 2009's The Challenge: The Duel II, he chased his former Real World: Paris costar Adam King around the house, threatening to "smash his head and eat it" while security tried (and failed) to restrain him for hours. The two were sent home immediately, but were forced to work together as partners in a later season, 2011's appropriately named The Challenge: Rivals.

Tamburello shed his bad-boy persona in recent seasons after becoming a father, entering his self-proclaimed "dadbod era" by debuting a much more calm, logical attitude and a new physique, and avoiding any more physical fights with other cast members.

Road House, which is a remake of the 1989 action classic starring Patrick Swayze, features Gyllenhaal as a former UFC fighter who becomes a bouncer at a dilapidated roadhouse in the Florida Keys. When he discovers some trouble in paradise, he's sent on a wild journey. The movie is set to premiere March 21 on Prime Video.
