How to watch 2024 Emmy nominations live
Published on March 04, 2026 EDT Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph will be joined by Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego as they announce this year's contenders.

The 2023 Emmys were just held in January, but the 2024 Emmys are already in full swing.

Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph and Arrested Development alum Tony Hale are set to announce this year’s nominations for the 76th Emmy Awards this Wednesday, July 17, at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. Those looking forward to seeing if their favorite series makes the grade can tune into the livestream event at 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT on the Emmys website.

"While this year has been marked by significant challenges for our industry and its workforce, there has been an abundance of remarkable programs, extraordinary performances and impactful storytelling," Abrego said in a press release. "Great television relies on the contributions of so many, and we are delighted to have Tony and Sheryl help us acknowledge excellence across our field as we embark on a season of tremendous celebration."

This is the second Emmys to be held this year after the 2023 ceremony was pushed to January due to the actors' and writers' strikes last summer. In order to be eligible for consideration, all entries must have been released between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024.

The Bear, Succession, The White Lotus, and Beef were just a few of the shows that won big back in January. This time around, fans can check out Entertainment Weekly's nominee predictions for the main acting, guest acting, reality television, and Outstanding Drama, Comedy, and Limited Series categories.

The 76th Emmy Awards airs Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC.
