After winning Best Actress at Cannes in May, Selena Gomez just added another acting milestone to her increasingly crowded list of awards honors, as the TV Academy finally recognized her performance in Only Murders in the Building with her first acting nomination at the Emmys.

Among the full list of nominations announced Wednesday morning, Gomez — who produces and also stars in Only Murders in the Building — scored her first-ever acting nod from the organization in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category.

The 31-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place actress and "Lose You to Love Me" performer was previously nominated twice at the Primetime Emmys, but only for producing Only Murders when it was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. She has two prior Daytime Emmys nominations, too, both for producing her Outstanding Culinary Series nominee Selena + Chef.

Only Murders was again nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the 2024 Emmys, where the performances of Short, Martin, and fellow season 3 stars Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, and Matthew Broderick were also recognized by the TV Academy.

Gomez will compete in her category alongside a stacked list of contenders, including Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Ayo Edebiri, (The Bear), Maya Rudolph (Loot), Jean Smart (Hacks), and Kristen Wiig (Palm Royale).

Gomez has co-led the Hulu series alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short since its 2021 debut, as a band of neighbors who join forces to solve deathly mysteries unfolding around them.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a representative for Gomez for comment on her nomination.

Final Emmys voting closes on Aug. 26. The 2024 Emmys ceremony airs live on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC.
