Ali Wong reveals the 'best part about f---ing a dude that is 60' in trailer for new comedy special

Ali Wong truly believes that 40 is the golden age.

...to get divorced. "It is perfect," the comedian and Emmy winner says in the trailer for her new Netflix comedy special Ali Wong: Single Lady. The Beef star also reveals the "best part about f---ing" men who are 60: "You get to hear a story — that he already told you on Tuesday! That he's going to repeat to you on Friday! About a half court shot he once made in 1985."

Premiering on the streamer Oct. 8, Wong's fourth original Netflix special will feature musings from the comedian about post-divorce life and her quest for love following her separation from longtime husband Justin Hakuta in 2022.

As a newly-single gal, "the age range of who I could date is huge," Wong quips in the trailer. "I could go low as 25 and then I could go as high as 55." But for those who are 55, Wong has some questions: "Can you go on a brisk walk? Can you lift heavy things? Can you digest red meat without getting a swollen toe the next day?"

Wong has been dating fellow comedian and actor Bill Hader since 2023. They notably attended the Emmy Awards and Golden Globes together earlier this year, where Wong and her Beef crew won big.

"We're very selectively private," Wong told Access Hollywood on the Emmys red carpet of the romance, adding when asked about the kiss they shared after her Golden Globes win, "We've been together for a minute. I guess people didn't know we were together. But it's also like, we're both in our 40s and are parents, so."

Wong directed and executive produced the special, which was filmed during her residency at The Wiltern in Los Angeles during the Netflix Is A Joke Fest back in May. It comes on the heels of 2022's Don Wong, 2018's Hard Knock Wife, and 2016's Baby Cobra. She also headlines the streamer's rom-com Always Be My Maybe opposite Randall Park and lent her voice to Big Mouth.
