Ryan Murphy already has the next installment of his Monster anthology series set.

The prolific creator and producer will focus next on the story of murderer Ed Gein, Murphy said at the Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story premiere Monday in Los Angeles. Sons of Anarchy alum Charlie Hunnam will star in the episodes that begin filming next month.

Gein, who was nicknamed the "Butcher of Plainfield," was only convicted of one murder committed in the 1950s, but he was suspected of committing others. Known to have collected body parts, Gein inspired fictional killers, including Norman Bates from Psycho and Buffalo Bill from The Silence of the Lambs. He spent the later part of his life in mental institution and died in 1984.

Best known for playing biker Jackson "Jax" Teller on Sons of Anarchy for seven seasons, Hunnam was recently seen in Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire, which came out in Netflix in December, and previously starred in Pacific Rim, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and Crimson Peak

The Monster anthology began with Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which starred Evan Peters as the titular serial killer. Released in September 2022, it netted Peters and Richard Jenkins both Emmy nominations, as well as a win for Niecy Nash for her supporting role as Dahmer's neighbor.

Netflix noted that Dahmer continues to be its "third most popular Netflix English language series."

In the story of the Menendez brothers, Erik and Lyle, were convicted of having murdered their parents in their Beverly Hills, Calif., home in 1989. The series stars Nicholas Chavez as Lyle and Cooper Koch as Erik. Javier Bardem plays their father José, while Chloë Sevigny portrays their mom, Mary Louise "Kitty."

Episodes of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story stream Thursday, Sept. 19 on Netflix.

Murphy also continues his relationship with FX this fall. Grotesquerie, Murphy's horror-drama series starring Niecy Nash, Lesley Manville, and Travis Kelce, premieres on Wednesday, Sep. 25 on FX, and will stream on Hulu the next day.
