LostJorge Garcia revisits iconic

Lost is officially 20 years old, and in honor of the ABC drama's milestone anniversary, we have to go back!

Series star Jorge Garcia, who played Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on all six seasons of the sci-fi/fantasy/mystery/thriller, took Jack's (Matthew Fox) quote literally. The actor went to the Disney archives to revisit some of his character's most iconic props to celebrate Lost turning 20, and Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive video of his nostalgic adventure.

"It's been 20 years since the Lost premiere, can you believe it?" Garcia says. "I can't. Time flies."

In the video (above), Garcia laughs as he approaches a large, van-shaped object underneath a tarp, and reveals it to be ... the DHARMA Initiative van from season 3, episode 10, of course. "This van has seen some action — TV action," he says. When he notices that someone ripped the DHARMA logo off the front of the van, he tries to explain what the DHARMA Initiative was on the show. "DHARMA was this ... hoo boy," he stops before laughing again. "DHARMA, I'm not the full expert on."

Garcia reveals he didn't actually know how to drive stick shift, which posed a problem during filming since Hurley had to drive the old van in an action scene. "I did some short driving in small spaces, and I got to do the doughnuts in the middle of the field," he says. "That was perhaps one of the most fun moments on the show for me — and us, because we were all just hanging out in the car doing that."

Garcia then sees a chunk of the Oceanic flight 815 plane from the pilot episode, which reminds him of the very first day he got on set and saw the large crashed fuselage and the wing for the crash scenes.

"It was definitely this moment as an actor where I was going, 'Holy cow, this is big league production,'" he remembers. "That was something. That first scene of the plane crash and all the chaos and running away from the falling wing and getting to do that thing where you dive out when something explodes behind you? Check, dream-come-true stuff."

As Garcia moves on to handle smaller props, he can't stop laughing when he sees that the fruit roll-up snack from season 5, episode 17 when Hurley offered it to Jacob (Mark Pelligrino), was preserved so carefully. "The fact that you saved this? Um, okay," he says. "Interesting. A rolled fruit snack, I don't remember interacting with it on the show."
