The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran defends her infamous pineapple-sriracha-chocolate poutine recipe: 'One of the best'
Published on December 13, 2025 EDT The "Bachelor" alum maintains that the mixture was "a really good mix of sweet and salty and spicy," even if Joey Graziadei gave it a four out of 10.

Sorry to disappoint, Bachelor Nation, but Jenn Tran will not be forcing any of the 25 men vying for her heart on The Bachelorette to try out her infamous pineapple-sriracha-chocolate poutine recipe.

“Ugh, I wish!” She tells Entertainment Weekly about the potential date idea. “I wish you had told me this before.”

Prior to becoming the Bachelorette, Tran appeared as a contestant on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor, where she singlehandedly concocted one of the most divisive poutine recipes in franchise history while on a group date in Canada. The dish started off simple with its traditional base of cheese curds, gravy, and fries before quickly going off the rails when she added pineapple, sriracha, and chocolate sauce on top.

Tran stands firmly behind her recipe to this day. “I’m telling you,” she says, “it was one of the best poutines I've ever had.”

Graziadei ended up retching after trying the concoction during the episode, before eventually giving it a very generous four out of 10 star rating.

Tran, however, isn't letting his poor review bring her down. “You know what, Joey's not Canadian, so he doesn’t know the good stuff,” she teases. “And neither am I, but it was a really good mix of sweet and salty and spicy. I really recommend that you try it.”

The 26-year-old physician's assistant student previously poked fun at the recipe in a TikTok earlier this year, sharing a clip from the episode and labeling it “my official application to become a Canadian citizen.” She jokingly captioned the video, “Montreal i love you even though you might not like me!!!!”

Bachelor host Jesse Palmer is keeping his distance from the dish too. He previously told EW that someone would have to pay him “all the ‘loonies’ and ‘toonies’” — a nod to Canadian one and two dollar coins — in order for him to eat a bowl of Tran’s poutine.

Now, all that's left is for Bachelor Nation to decide whether or not to try it out — perhaps as a premiere snack?

The Bachelorette airs on ABC on July 8 and streams the next day on Hulu.
