Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon are going to war… over a wedding venue.

Prime Video has unveiled a first look at You're Cordially Invited, a comedy that  promises to showcase the vengeful sides of the two stars, who play representatives of two weddings accidentally scheduled for the same place and time.

While Witherspoon's character is determined to plan the perfect wedding for her sister (Meredith Hagner), Ferrell's hopes to do the same for his daughter (Geraldine Viswanathan). But can a single island resort sustain two weddings, or is one of them doomed to failure?

As the synopsis puts it, "When both parties decide to share the small venue, chaos ensues and disaster awaits.”

The teaser trailer gives us a sneak peek at the chaos to come: Initially blissful, the duo arrive at the Georgia resort only to discover that the nuptials have been double-booked. Within seconds, the interaction takes a nasty turn.

"Let's get something straight," Ferrell says. "If I look out on that dock, and that bride's not my baby girl, that bride's going in the f---ing lake." When Witherspoon glares, he adds, "Splish-splash, bitch taking a bath."

Witherspoon doesn't hesitate to hurl her own threats: "I'm gonna kick your ass and it's gonna be embarrassing, because you're big and I'm little."

From there, we see a series of wedding high jinks gone wrong. Cake is thrown, gators are hugged, and a dock collapses — with two wedding parties on it. Splish-splash indeed.

You’'e Cordially Invited marks the latest comedy from Bros director Nicholas Stoller. The film also stars Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan, Rory Scovel, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ramona Young, Jack McBrayer, and Celia Weston.
