That '90s Show season 2 trailer teases a summer of heartbreak
Published on March 04, 2026 EDT Leia and Nate's almost-kiss from last summer won't stay a secret for long.

Heartbreak is heading to Point Place when That '70s Show sequel That '90s Show returns for season 2.

The first trailer for the first half of season 2 is finally here, and the new footage reveals that last summer's almost-kiss between Leia (Callie Haverda) — a.k.a. the daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon) — and Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan) isn't going to stay a secret, no matter how much they want it to when Callie returns to her grandparents' house for the summer of 1996. And when their moment gets exposed, it will blow up everything from relationships to friendships as Jay (Mace Coronel) and Nikki (Sam Morelos) are left reeling.

But that's not all — prepare for more Forman family hijinks as Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Kurtwood Smith) give driving lessons to their granddaughter, which go exactly as you'd expect them to. And Leia interviews for a job that requires a total metal makeover — and perhaps a new last name, since Seth Green's Mitch Miller, a.k.a. a classmate and nemesis of her father's who appeared on the original show throughout seasons 5 and 6, is the one interviewing her.

That's not the only familiar face from That '70s Show appearing in season 2 — Bob (Don Stark) is back, and he's moving into the house across the street from the Forman's, much to Red's horror. Other season 2 guest stars include Andrea Anders, Will Forte, Lisa Loeb, Carmen Electra, Wayne Knight, Kevin Smith, Tommy Chong, Jason Mewes, Matt Rife, and Kadeem Hardison.

However, don't expect to see Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher reprise their roles of Jay's parents Jackie Burkhart and Michael Kelso again (they returned for one episode in the debut season). "We did our thing and they introduced our son in the show," Kunis recently said, confirming she and real-life husband Kutcher won't appear in season 2.

Another absence will be Steven Hyde (Danny Masterson) due to the actor's real life legal troubles. Masterson was charged in June 2020 with "forcibly raping three women in separate incidents occurring between 2001 and 2003." The women were all referred to as Jane Does. Masterson denied all charges, but was sentenced 30 years to life and is currently in prison. Despite being a main character throughout the entire run of That '70s Show, sarcastic loner Hyde doesn't appear nor is he even mentioned by any of the other characters at all in season 1 of That '90s Show. His absence isn't explained.
