The Reagans are back for one last ride.

Entertainment Weekly can exclusively reveal the new trailer for the back half of Blue Bloods' final season, which will premiere Oct. 18 on CBS.

CBS

The Tom Selleck-led police drama begins its new promo with a celebration of its "14 seasons of unforgettable memories," with a rapid-fire montage of some of the show's biggest moments — weddings, babies, family gatherings, and, of course, arrests. "It is with profound praise and gratitude that I welcome you, ready to serve and protect the most vibrant city in the world," Frank Reagan (Selleck) says to a class of new NYPD officers.

As the celebratory footage plays out, the show's core cast reminds us of their driving motivations. "Being a good detective is catching bad guys, reuniting families, saving lives," Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) says. "I became a prosecutor, and I'm damn good at it," Erin (Bridget Moynahan) declares. "Really, I always wanted to be a cop," Jamie (Will Estes) adds. "When we have everyone we love, we have everything and for that, we should be grateful," Frank says. "Trust me, there's more to this story."

From there, we see New York City Mayor Peter Chase (Dylan Walsh) holding a press conference at a hospital that teases a threat to the Reagans' livelihoods. "Our city has seen a drastic rise in random crime," he says. "Our police officers are doing everything that they can. But it's time for stronger medicine."

Frank emotionally notes his disagreement with the Chase. "Outside with the mayor, I'll be saying to thousands of New York City cops, 'You can't do your job.'" After his family asks what he's going to do, Frank responds, "Hopefully the right thing."

A convict played by Edward James Olmos then grills Frank in his office. "Look in the mirror," he says. "You think you're the good guy."

Meanwhile, Erin appears to be arrested in her own office. "Erin Reagan, you have the right to remain silent," Queens District Attorney Evaline Romano (Debi Mazar) says. "I don't know what I'll do if I get disbarred," Erin says.

And Danny seems to be in hot water of his own. As we see footage of him looking flustered and getting a little violent during arrests, Frank defends him: "My son is a decorated cop and a fine family man." But a skeptical Grace (Lori Loughlin) notes, "He's also from New York's most visible cop family and enjoys a reputation as a very loose cannon." Danny emotionally tells his grandfather Henry (Len Cariou), "It's just getting a little personal." The trailer concludes with intense footage of fast-paced police operations.

CBS

Blue Bloods premiered its final season on Feb. 16, with 10 episodes airing in the first half of the year. The second half of the season will premiere on CBS on Oct. 18.
