Survivor, Kathryn Hahn's bewitchingly fun
Published on January 15, 2026 EDT

We here at Entertainment Weekly walk the walk when it comes to our love of The Walking Dead. Our latest celebration of the massive franchise is a cover story that dives into Melissa McBride's return to playing fan-favorite Carol in season 2 of Norman Reedus' spinoff series, known as The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol. The show title is almost as long as the friendship between Reedus and McBride, who have been fighting zombies onscreen together since season 1 of the original AMC series in 2010, and that camaraderie is on full display in Dalton Ross' fantastic cover story. I hope you'll bite into it. —Patrick Gomez, Editor-in-Chief

The gold standard of reality competition programming is back on CBS with a cast of competitors playing the game hard. Some might say too hard. Take Rome Cooney, for instance. The guy talked about how important it was to build bonds with his tribe… and then almost immediately ostracized himself to go immunity idol hunting. He almost ended up stuck headfirst in a well, for crying out loud! It's that delicious mix of frantic game sense and absolute nonsense that makes it worth tuning in each and every season. —Dalton Ross, Editorial Director

Wandavision baddie Agatha Harkness is finally free of the confines of Westview, and that means toil, trouble… and a whole lot of fun in the hands of Kathryn Hahn. With a starry coven assembled, make no mistake, this Disney+ series will leave you bewitched, bothered, and Hahn-obsessed. —Yolanda Machado, Staff Editor

Just in time for Gilmore Girls rewatch season, series star Kelly Bishop's memoir pulls back the curtain on her life and career as a ballet dancer and actress — retracing her pirouettes from Colorado Springs to Broadway to the Catskills to Stars Hollow and beyond. —Jessica Wang, Staff Writer

She's "Sweet but Psycho," and that's why her fans (officially known as Avatars instead of Maxinistas, for some reason) love her. Her new single is a groovy pop-dance anthem framed as her "most personal yet." The story of overcoming betrayal is great, but the beat is even better. —Patrick Gomez, EIC

The Stockport U.K. quintet — who call ABBA, Talking Heads, and Oasis inspirations — return with a glimmering fifth album that expertly weaves together stories like the real-life theft of an eight-foot-tall gorilla statue named Gary with the British rock band's signature dreamy, indie-pop sound. —Emlyn Travis, Staff Writer
