Love Lies BleedingKristen Stewart falls for a bodybuilder, chaos ensues in wild
Published on March 04, 2026 EDT Dead bodies! Guns! Sex! Milkshakes!

Love is pain.

Kristen Stewart and Katy M. O'Brian begin an electric love story in the ferocious and bloody trailer for Rose Glass's upcoming romance thriller Love Lies Bleeding. Stewart plays Lou, a reclusive gym manager who falls hard for O'Brian's Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Las Vegas in pursuit of her athletic dreams.

However, "their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family," according to the synopsis. Ed Harris (and the most chaotic hairdo) stars as Lou's menacing, gun-slinging father, who finds himself pursued by the FBI. His criminal doings are not immediately clear, but it brings big trouble to his daughter and her new love.

Between shots of Lou and Jackie's trysts are sequences that see the two disposing of a dead body and engaging in a shoot-out. "I'm gonna tell them everything you did," Lou says to her father over the phone. He responds, "Are you threatening me?"

The A24 film, set to screen at Sundance Film Festival in January before releasing sometime in spring 2024, also stars Dave Franco, Jena Malone, and Anna Baryshnikov.

Glass's recent credit includes the 2019 horror mystery Saint Maud, while Stewart last starred in 2022's Crimes of the Future and 2021's Princess Diana film Spencer. O'Brian last appeared on The Mandalorian and in this year's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
