Daniel Radcliffe and Jonathan Groff play key roles in Broadway costar Lindsay Mendez's wedding

Lindsay Mendez was sure to include some old friends in her wedding.

The Tony-winning actress, who is currently starring in the hit revival of Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway, recruited her castmates Daniel Radcliffe and Jonathan Groff to play key roles in her nuptials Monday.

Groff, who stars as Franklin Shepard opposite Mendez's besotted Mary Flynn, officiated the ceremony, while Radcliffe, who plays neurotic writer Charley Kringas, helped put a ring on it as the wedding's official ring bearer.

Mendez married J. Alex Brinson, whom she met while starring on the CBS legal drama All Rise. Mendez and Brinson announced their engagement on Christmas Day, sharing a photo prominently featuring her engagement ring.

Mendez has a child, Lucy, 3, from a previous relationship, who served as flower girl on the big day.

Brinson and Mendez revealed earlier this month that they're expecting a child together, sharing the news with a photo on Instagram that included a pair of crocheted baby booties.

"Our family band is expanding!" she wrote. "And we are bursting with joy! J and I can't wait to make Lucy a big sister and welcome our new baby this fall. I'm also so grateful for the unrelenting support of my @merrilyonbway producers and company. Together, they have made it so that I can happily work safely, all while growing this true Broadway baby. So, I will be continuing with the show, and finish the run on July 7th with my incredible cast. Come see (both) of us at the Hudson!"

Mendez, who won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Carrie in the 2018 revival of Carousel, is earning rave reviews for her work in Merrily alongside Groff and Radcliffe.

"Mendez wonderfully succeeds at carving out a space for Mary in a book that largely puts her character's dreams and desires on the back burner," Entertainment Weekly's Emlyn Travis wrote. "Instead, Mendez makes Mary the glue that holds these friendships together, vacillating between placating the egotistical Frank, yearning over her character's unrequited love for Frank, and later commiserating with Charley about Frank. Her droll, perfectly timed deadpan delivery drew several large laughs from the crowd throughout the night, but it's the softer, lingering looks that Mendez directs toward Frank in their youth that stick long after the show ends. Her poignant performance in 'Not A Day Goes By (Reprise)' is nothing short of heartbreaking."

The production marks the first Broadway revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical, which infamously flopped in its original 1981 iteration, closing after only 16 performances. In contrast, the revival has proved a resonant success and is expected to land numerous Tony nominations when they're announced next week.
