Jeremy Allen White says he's 'more proud' of Golden Globes win than his Calvin Klein underwear ad
Published on December 01, 2025 EDT "The Bear" star won Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series in a Musical or Comedy days after nearly breaking the internet with his sexy ad campaign.

Jeremy Allen White keeps turning up the heat.

Days after nearly breaking the internet with his sexy Calvin Klein underwear ad, The Bear star won his second Golden Globe Award on Sunday for his performance as chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in the FX series.

But while fans can't stop saying "Yes, chef!" and salivating over his jaw-dropping shirtless photos, The Bear star tells EW that winning his second Golden Globe is an even better achievement.

"This is a prouder moment," he said backstage. "I'm more proud of this. Pride in both, but this is more pride."

White explained that it's "strange" having the ad come out the same week as his win. "It's been a weird couple of days," he said. "It is bizarre doing a Calvin Klein ad and now having it come out. But everything feels okay for now."

"Proud" turned out to be the word of the night after The Bear also won Best TV Comedy, and White's co-star Matty Matheson joked backstage about the Calvin Klein photos as well. "It makes me proud to be who I am because that’s who he is," the actor, who plays Neil Fak and is also a real-life chef, said. "He’s a little ripped guy, and I’m a big guy. He makes me feel like I need to be me."

Then Edwin Lee Gibson, who plays Ebraheim, asked the reporters gathered in the press room, "Are you saying that none of us except [White] look good? Look at this, this is goodness."

"We were all in the Calvin Klein ad, you just have to look really closely," Ayo Edebiri, who plays Sydney, added. "Just look again and you’ll see all of us."

White beat fellow Best Actor nominees Bill Hader (Barry), Jason Segel (Shrinking), Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Steve Martin (Only Murders in the Building), and Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building). This is his second time cooking up a win in this category after taking home the trophy during last year's ceremony. Meanwhile, this is the show's first win (it was nominated last year as well), beating fellow nominees Abbott Elementary, Barry, Jury Duty, Only Murders in the Building, and Ted Lasso.

The 81st Golden Globe Awards aired live on Sunday, hosted by actor and comedian Jo Koy. See all the winners here.
