Green Day debut first song off new album, announce 2024 tour with Smashing Pumpkins at Vegas show
Published on April 20, 2026 EDT The news comes on the heels of the release of the 30th-anniversary edition of their smash album Dookie.

Calling all American Idiots: Green Day is set embark on a stadium tour in 2024 alongside Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and the Linda Lindas.

Billie Joe Armstrong & Co. shared the big news during a secret show at Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas on Thursday night, where they also debuted a new track, "The American Dream Is Killing Me," which Armstrong called "the first song off our new album."

A flyer handed out at the show revealed that the tour will kick off in the U.S. and featured the following message to the U.K. and Europe: "You're next."

Green Day has yet to share more details about their upcoming album and tour, and representatives for the band declined to offer further comment.

Thursday night's show served as a warm-up for the group ahead of this weekend's When We Were Young music festival, which they're co-headlining with Blink-182. At the intimate Fremont Country Club gathering, they performed all of the tracks from their smash album Dookie, the 30th-anniversary edition of which came out last month, as well as "Oh Love" and "Last Night on Earth."

The Dookie 30th-anniversary deluxe edition includes unreleased demos, outtakes, and and live performances. Check out Green Day's performance of "The American Dream Is Killing Me" above.
