Published on December 01, 2025 EDT EW can reveal that Peter Cullen, the legendary voice actor behind the Autobot leader, also makes a special guest voice appearance recorded just for the episode.

In celebration of the Transformers brand's 40th anniversary, the Autobots are taking over this week's episode of The Masked Singer, and EW has the exclusive first video.

In the clip, below, host Nick Cannon opens the show in a literal blaze of glory, in a big red semi-truck surrounded by pyrotechnics driving right on to the soundstage. Then, the massive Optimus Prime storms the stage, complete with Transformers-themed backup dancers, of course. As Cannon introduces the start of the show, Optimus comically towers over the host, looming behind him as panelists Rita Ora, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg chant, "Optimus! Optimus! Optimus!"

Transformers Night will see beloved characters like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee make special performances and deliver clues throughout the show, and Fox has teased they may even serve as backup dancers. Additionally, EW can reveal that Peter Cullen, the legendary voice actor behind Autobot leader Optimus Prime, makes a special guest voice appearance recorded just for the episode.

In an interview with EW before season 11 premiered, McCarthy-Wahlberg teased that the episode will "blow your kids' minds."

"I didn't realize they were going to get the actual giant Transformers to come out on the stage and talk with us," she said at the time. "They're conversing with us. I asked to hire one for my bodyguard and he was conversing with me. Whoever thought of these theme nights for Masked Singer needs a raise because they really bring the show to the next level."

Wednesday's episode also marks a return to the group A contestants, which have not been seen since the season premiere. Viewers can expect some fierce competition, as Transformers Night also features a double elimination.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
